Description
Researchers in the Sir William Dunn School of Pathology, Oxford University, England, have discovered two new and simple ways of measuring the surface tension of liquids. The utility of these inventions goes way beyond the traditional surface tension markets. As described below, the new methods could make measuring surface tension, traditionally labor-intensive, into a high- throughput, programmable, non-contact technique, and may even revolutionize drug research.
The discoveries were a by-product of the groups research into degenerative brain disease. While testing proteins using a standard microwell... |
