The long road back from disability can be marked by a single, defining moment that pushes a veteran forward. It can be words of encouragement from another person or accomplishing something on your own that was totally unexpected. It's the mission of the DAV to build better lives for disabled veterans and their families, and the service of the DAV can be the spark that rebuilds a severely disabled veteran's life.
