Hall of Fame recipient and former PMA President Don Burrell has returned to photography, what he calls his "first love," by purchasing Burrell Professional Labs from JASCO, Rochester, N.Y. The new company name is Burrell Colour Imaging LLC (BCI), and is composed of the Crown Point, Ind.-based lab, as well as facilities in Paducah, Ky., and "The Stock House.

Burrell, who retired after 43 years in the imaging business, sent a letter to customers, assuring a smooth transition. Customers, in turn, are thrilled Burrell is back in business.

"I've been receiving calls from customers all day," says Burrell, days after the purchase was finalized on June 8. "It's a nice feeling.
