For 30 years, Merchandising Technologies Inc. (MTI), Hillsboro, Ore. (www.mti-interactive.com), has been building interactive merchandising displays for consumer electronics retailers. Today, two of its primary solutions are touch-screen displays educating consumers about a product the moment they touch it; and handheld displays, which encourage potential buyers to try using a product.
"Our business is all about enhancing product demonstrations. "We work with both the product manufacturer and the retailer to design the shopping experience."
While the MTI display is used by six of the top seven consumer electronics retailers in the United States, the company also provides interactive merchandising solutions for small independent chains and single shop businesses.
