Description
Helping customers use their cameras and focusing on new imaging markets are only part of the larger equation for leading Swiss photo retailer FotoPro. Ivo Crivelli is the manager of the FotoPro Ganz shop on one of the leading shopping streets in Zurich, Switzerland. FotoPro has 11 branches and is one of the largest specialty imaging dealers in Switzerland.
All about education
At the entrance to the shop is a display board mounted on a Perspex base. It lists more than 20 courses run through the FotoPro Photo School in the next few months, not only at the premises of the main shop in Zurich but also in other towns where the company has stores.
Customers are also given a 4-by-6 card listing the course dates and locations, together with a brochure setting out full details of coverage, location, and cost. The brochure also offers the options of private educational courses to take at home, at work, or at the FotoPro premises. Additionally, customers are given a voucher entitling them to $40 off the price of any paid-for course.
