EU may impose travel restrictions similar to those in U.S. The EU has threatened to impose on American citizens restrictions similar to those put in place by the U.S. on Europeans. EU citizens are subject to electronic travel authorization under new Homeland Security rules signed into law by President George W. Bush. Travelers must register online and give details of their passport, travel plans and scheduled meetings at least two days before departure. Aug 8, 2007

The number of airports served by Low Cost airlines rose to 280 from 270 in 2005. Also, the number of intra-Europe seats offered by conventional airlines actually declined, dropping 1% compared to 2005. This is the first year-to-year decrease since the LCM series began.
