Description
Compared to the First Fifty Years, the past 10 have been at warp speed. This time-line obviously cannot encompass all that has happened in the workplace learning and performance arena. First, we highlighted several Big Ideas--major ideas that have moved the field forward. Then we identified several critical areas of practice--Employee Development, Technology, Economy/Business, and Organization Culture--and noted new arrivals on the scene. Cascading over all are the Influences--social, economic, and political events that have affected, in some way, the business world and the practice of the business we're in.
