A good idea in Timbuktu might be a great idea for Lisle.
As Lisle residents travel beyond DuPage County, they could experience an idea that would work well in Lisle. It happened in Chicago. Why not here?
A Chicago businessman in Zurich, Switzerland, spotted a novel display of 800 decorated cows. He convinced his hometown to implement the Zurich idea and the result was the wildly popular "Cows on Parade." The Chicago exhibit was a successful tourism promotion for the city and generated more than a million visitors to see the cows in the summer of 1999.
Who would have thought 300 Fiberglas cows grazing in a big city could benefit artists, businesses, visitors, charities and the community? It was a great idea. It was great for tourism and great for the city.
