Description: SPDR Gold Trust is an investment trust, formed on November 12, 2004 under New York law. World Gold Trust Services LLC (WGTS) is the sponsor of the trust. BNY Mellon Asset Servicing, a division of The Bank of New York Mellon (formerly The Bank of New York), is the trustee. State Street Global Markets LLC is the marketing agent of the trust. The trust holds gold and issues SPDR gold shares in baskets in exchange for deposits of gold and distributes gold in connection with redemptions of baskets. A basket equals a block of 100,000 shares.
