Description: Calumet Specialty Products Partners L.P. was originally formed in 1919, as Calumet Refining Company. It is an independent producer of high-quality, specialty hydrocarbon products. Its business is organized into two segments: specialty products and fuel products. The specialty products segment processes crude oil and other feedstocks into customized lubricating oils, solvents and waxes, which are sold primarily as raw material components for basic industrial, consumer and automotive goods. Its fuel products segment processes crude oil into fuel and fuel-related products, including unleaded gasoline, diesel and jet fuel. Under both segments, it also produces asphalt and a limited number of other by-products. The company operates three refineries in Louisiana, one in Pennsylvania and one in Texas.
