Description: Williams Partners LP is a publicly-traded Delaware limited partnership formed by The Williams Companies Inc. in February 2005 to own, operate and acquire a diversified portfolio of complementary energy assets. The company began trading publicly on the New York Stock Exchange in August 2005. Williams Partners gathers, transports, processes and treats natural gas; and fractionates and stores natural gas liquids (NGLs). NGLs are used as petrochemical feedstocks, heating fuels and gasoline additives, among other applications. Headquartered in Tulsa, Okla., the company's operations are divided into three business segments: gathering and processing-West, gathering and processing-Gulf, and NGL services. The gathering and processing-West segment includes Williams Four Corners LLC, acquired in 2006, which owns an approximate 3,800-mile natural gas gathering system with three natural gas processing plants and two natural gas treating plants, located in the San Juan Basin in Colorado and New Mexico; and Wamsutter, acquired in 2007, which owns an approximate 1,800-mile natural gas gathering system with a natural gas processing plant in the Washakie Basin in Wyoming. The gathering and processing-Gulf segment includes the Carbonate Trend gathering pipeline extending from offshore in the Gulf of Mexico to a natural gas processing plant and NGL fractionator in Louisiana.
