Description: Based in Hilo, Hawaii, ML Macadamia Orchards LP began in June 1986, following its acquisition of 2,423 tree acres of macadamia nut orchards from subsidiaries of C. Brewer and Company Ltd. The company is a master limited partnership, traded over-the-counter and organized in Delaware. As one of the world's largest growers of macadamia nuts, ML Macadamia Orchards owns or leases approximately 4,190 tree acres of macadamia nut orchards in three locations within a 50-mile radius on the island of Hawaii. In addition, the partnership farms approximately 2,000 tree acres of macadamia nut orchards for other orchard owners under farming contracts. The farming operations consist of farming contracts, farming equipment, vehicles, a husking plant, irrigation well, office buildings, garages and warehouses, office furniture and equipment and material inventories related to macadamia farming. Its general partner, ML Resources Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of ML Macadamia Orchards, manages the partnership. The partnership has two business segments, the owned-orchard segment and the farming segment. The owned-orchard segment derives its revenues from the sale of macadamia nuts grown in orchards owned or leased by the partnership.
