Description: Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. was founded in Colorado in 1993 as World Foods Inc. In February 1998, McDonald's Corporation made an equity investment in the company and became the majority shareholder. At the same time, World Foods merged with Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc., a newly-formed Delaware corporation.
