The pharmaceutical sector is the company's primary business segment, making up the global pharmaceutical and international consumer medicines business and accounting for approximately 80 percent of the company's revenue with products in the therapeutic classes of cardiovascular; virology, including human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection; oncology; affective and other psychiatric disorders; and immunoscience. Major brands within this primary segment include Plavix, Avapro, Coumadin, Abilify and Orencia to name a few.
