Description: Mattel, Inc. was incorporated in California in 1948 and reincorporated in Delaware in 1968. The company designs, manufactures and markets a broad variety of toy products worldwide through sales to its customers and directly to consumers under several well-known brand names, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher Price and American Girl. Mattel has two operating segments: domestic and international. The Domestic segment is further divided into Mattel Girls and Boys Brands US, Fisher-Price Brands US and American Girl Brands. Products marketed by the international segment are generally the same as those developed and marketed by the domestic segment, with the exception of American Girl Brands, although some are developed or adapted for particular international markets.
