The industrial products include industrial lighting and tubular products used in the petroleum and food processing industries, and to other industries with unique lighting challenges. The galvanizing services segment provides hot dip galvanizing to the steel fabrication industry through facilities located throughout the South, Midwest and Southwest United States. Hot dip galvanizing is a metallurgical process in which molten zinc is applied to a customer's material. The zinc bonding renders corrosion protection to fabricated steel for extended periods of up to 50 years. As of February 28, 2009, AZZ operated 20 galvanizing plants in Texas, Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi, Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Illinois, Ohio, Oklahoma and Minnesota. More
