Sinclair Oil was founded in 1916, by Harry Sinclair. The company currently has approximately 2500 gasoline stations and convenience stores across the West and Midwestern states. Sinclair's refinery in Wyoming is one of the world's longest running industrial plants, yet it is also one of the most modern. Over 1000 miles of pipeline are operated by Sinclair throughout the Rocky Mountains, moving crude oil to Sinclair refineries. Sinclair also offers fleet fueling services through its Fleet Fueling Department, located in Utah, and owns and operates a trucking company. Sinclair also operates the Little America chain of Hotels, The Grand American Hotel, and two ski resorts. Top competitors include: Exxon, and Mobil.
