Former Detroit Lion football star, Mel Farr, emerged from poverty to become a successful football superstar. Now Mel Farr has successfully created a franchise of auto dealerships. The largest African American owned dealership in the U.S. was founded in 1975. The company was voted #1 two years in a row on the Black Enterprise List of auto dealers. The dealership's primary customer base is African American with little or no credit. The company gives credit with a 25% interest rate.
