Ag Processing (AGP) is a farmer-owned cooperative represented by 285 local and 10 regional cooperatives. The company has been operating since 1983 and today there are 300,000 members from sixteen states, mostly in the Midwest. Their business is the procurement, processing, marketing, and transportation of grains and grain products. They are the largest cooperative soybean processing company in the world. Members' farms process 15,000 acres of soybeans each day. Primary soybean products include vegetable oil and commercial animal feeds. AGP is one of the largest suppliers of refined vegetable oil and commercial feed products in the country in addition to promoting its com-based ethanol and soybean oil-based bio-fuels, fuel additives, and solvents. Consolidated Nutrition, now a subsidiary of AGP, was formed in 1994 as a result of the merger of four animal feed companies. There are 42 feed manufacturing locations in the U.S., Canada, and the Caribbean. They have one of the largest privately held animal nutrition research facilities in the world.
