Description: BWAY Holding Co. was founded in 1875. Previously a subsidiary of Kelso and Company, BHC acquired the company in a leveraged buyout in February 2003. Subsequently, BWAY stock was delisted from the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The company began trading publicly again on the NYSE in June 2007. BWAY designs and manufactures rigid metal and plastic containers for the North American container industry. The company's product line includes paint and ancillary products, petroleum products, chemicals, certain foods and a variety of household and personal care products. BWAY operates in two business segments: metal packaging and plastic packaging. The company's headquarters is located in Atlanta, Ga. Along with a second Georgia location, BWAY has locations in North Carolina and Toronto. The company has completed several acquisitions, including North American Packaging Corporation in July 2004, Industrial Containers Ltd. in July 2006 and Vulcan Containers Ltd. in January 2007. More
