Some of these include the first drive-in market, the first pre-packaged meat department, the first side-by-side grocery and drug stores, and the first supermarket natural foods department. Raley's is also known as a leading contributor to the needy in their various location areas, providing more than $7 million in cash and food donations through their Food For Families program. Competition of Raley's comes from companies in the grocery retail industry, including Albertson's, Safeway, and Save Mart Supermarkets.
