Karen Maroda is an assistant clinical professor of psychiatry at the Medical College of Wisconsin and has a private practice in Milwaukee. She is also a corresponding faculty at the Institute of Contemporary Psychoanalysis, Los Angeles, California.

There may be no single person who writes more powerfully about countertransference than Karen Maroda. Her book The Power of Countertransference: Innovations in Analytic Technique was first published in 1991, and the Analytic Press has reissued it, giving another generation of clinicians the opportunity to glean her wisdom.
