Add a formal-wear store, a women's clothing boutique and a combination beauty salon/bar to Eugene's retail casualties in the nationwide economic downturn.

Mr. Formal, which once had 25 stores in four Western states, last week closed one of its two Eugene stores and another in Springfield.

Meanwhile, The Moxie, which opened at 201 W. Broadway in downtown Eugene a year and a half ago, will close its unique salon/bar - which features such drinks as "Bad Hair Shots" - on Jan. 2.
