A number of area nonprofit groups will collect your Christmas tree for a fee as a fundraiser. They include:

McCornack Elementary "D.C. or Bust Fundraiser" fifth-graders will collect trees Saturday and Sunday and Jan. 3-4, 10-11 and 17-18. Minimum donation of $6; flocked trees are $10. Checks payable to DC or Bust, no cash please. Leave donation on door or attach to tree in plastic bag. Leave tree by curb on pick-up day. To schedule pick-up, sign up online at schools.4j.lane.edu/mccornack/ and click on tree, or call 654-0250 or 338-8338.

The FC Willamette Girls Ginga Soccer Team will collect trees Saturday and Sunday and Jan. 3-4 and 10-11 in the Sheldon area, including Valley River Village. Cost is $5, or $10 for flocked trees. To arrange pick-up,...
