It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas at John and Mamie Arnold's southwest Eugene home. Actually, it's looked a lot like Christmas there since Thanksgiving, if not before.

A lot like Christmas - as in who-knows-how-many vanloads of Christmas lights, Santa and snowmen figurines, angels, snow globes, ornaments, Nutcracker soldiers and other Christmas trinkets John has moved to the house from his warehouse across town.

It takes him the first week of November, working 6 a.m. to dark every day, to do it, he says. Then, of course, it takes another week to box it all up and take it back.

How many vanloads a day?

Three or four? Five? He's not sure.

Just like the Arnolds have no idea exactly how much Christmas stuff they have, or where it all came from, or what it's all worth?

"I have no idea," John says....
