Critical interest in the representation of the body has been something of a fashion in recent years, so corpses are the obvious next step. This book is a fascinating attempt to adapt a model from cultural history that has more currency in medieval studies, run it through the paradigm shift of the Reformation, and then apply it to a range of dramatic texts, not just Shakespeare's.
