Kathy and Bob Kuehl didn't know what to make of it 10 years ago when the swimming instructor pointed to their 6-year-old daughter splashing around in the pool and said, "There's your athlete."

But it wouldn't be long before the Kuehls understood -- or before anyone who watched Taylor Kuehl play hockey understood. "Gifted" is a word often associated with the sophomore forward for Mound- Westonka. "Prolific" would be another. Kuehl has 29 goals in nine games, putting her on pace to score more than 70 goals by the end of the regular season.
