Arlington starting pitcher Dominic Pugliese dodged a couple of early bases-loaded bullets Wednesday afternoon.

But there was no defense for the bases-full bomb Kyle Gaedele dropped on Elk Grove in the second round of the Cook County American Legion baseball tournament at Rec Park in Arlington Heights.

Pugliese settled down after getting out of the first 2 innings unscathed with a pair of line-drive double plays.
