Fresh off a 21-10 quarterfinal win over Northwest Oregon Conference champion Sherwood, Thurston now heads to the semifinals to face Glencoe, the fourth-place finisher in the NOC.

If that sounds like a classic trap game with the opportunity for the Colts to look past Glencoe and think ahead to a possible title game against No. 1 West Albany next weekend, Thurston coach Justin Starck is on alert to make sure the Colts don't do that.

"I don't think we are doing that, but if you are a coach that wasn't concerned about something like that, you'd probably be a fool," Starck said.
