In this collection of essays, Steven R. Harmon, formerly a professor at Campbell University Divinity School and now at Beeson Divinity School of Samford University, provides a vision for a Baptist future that is intimately connected to and largely dependent upon the larger Christian (Catholic) tradition. Harmon builds upon the work of the 1997 document, "Re-envisioning Baptist Identity: A Manifesto for Baptist Communities in North America," and utilizes the insights of Daniel Williams who has argued for the retrieval of early Christian tradition in evangelicalism.
