Handy represents wide interests
In the story "Big dollars flow from local donors," The Register-Guard reported that most of Lane County Commissioner Bobby Green's campaign funds come from conservative Republicans who represent mining, timber and development interests. Yet the newspaper labels Green a "moderate Democrat"? I don't think so! Conservative Democrat or nominal Republican would be more appropriate.
Challenger Rob Handy supports a vibrant economy that is diverse, local, and buffered from the ups and downs of the global market. You don't need a label to understand that Handy will work hard to provide sustainable, living wage jobs in Lane County. With thousands of small donations, Handy represents a wide array of interests, not just the good ol' boys.
