THE Arthur Moore trained grey King Johns Castle, who ran such an outstanding race when finishing second in the Aintree Grand National in April, is out for the season.

Prior to yesterdays news, the nine-year-old had been on most peoples lips for next years National following his spectacular debut over the Aintree fences.

But King Johns Castle has age on his side and could be a major force in Liverpool in 2010.

He has some heat in a leg, explained Moore.

It came out of the blue and is very disappointing for everyone....
