The band, the Asylum Street Spankers, keeps getting more and more popular, winning over the hearts and minds of left-leaning music lovers one show at a time. But the Austin, Texas-based band never will be a mainstream success - at least not in the estimation of Spankers' founder: singer and multi-instrumentalist Christina Marrs.
