Article Excerpt An early Easter came even earlier this year in Australia. On 13 February a long 'winter' ended with the national Apology for the past crimes, mistakes and sufferings caused by settler society against Australia's Indigenous peoples. On that amazing day the continent's oldest peoples wept in public, in private, on camera, against each other's shoulders. City centres around the country had screens set up, as did many other places. People gathered in homes or wherever there was a television set.
