Katie Gilchrist wasn't necessarily sold on being a lawyer.

Gilchrist began college as a premed major. After a short time--mostly because of organic chemistry--she decided a doctor's world was not for her. She changed her academic focus to journalism and physics, landing eventually with a major in English and a minor in German.
