Emulex Corp. (NYSE:ELX), the world's leading supplier of storage networking host bus adapters (HBAs), and StorageTek(R), the storage services and solutions expert, today jointly announced qualification of the Emulex LightPulse 2Gb/s LP9802 and newly released dual channel LP9802DC PCI-X Fibre Channel HBAs for use with StorageTek's V-Series family of Virtual Disk storage subsystems, including the V2X and the V960 Shared Virtual Array(TM) (SVA(TM)) disk storage system, for Solaris and Windows operating environments. The products were certified according to jointly accepted test protocol.
Qualification of Emulex's award-winning LP9802 and LP9802DC PCI-X HBAs reinforces the two companies' commitment to providing the highest levels of storage area network (SAN) interoperability, features and performance as enterprise-class customers migrate to next generation PCI-X-based systems.
