For a brief moment when she was in charge of organizing activities of seven sororities at Mississippi State University, representing more than 500 rushees, their parents and 25 rush counselors, Jessica Merrill considered pursuing event planning.

"I'm organized to a fault," she said, with a laugh, "and that was quite an undertaking for a 21-year-old woman. There were times I thought I'd never live through it, but once it was over, the overwhelming feeling of pride and the happiness of the others involved made me realize that every minute had been a true blessing !"
