Angela Davis-Morris faced a tough business decision fight out of law school.

Her original plans to take over a retiring attorney's law practice had not worked out for reasons beyond her control. She had turned down a few offers from larger firms around the state.

"I was grateful for the offers, but I'd never thought my future would include being a number or being behind the scenes in someone else's business," she said.

Davis-Morris was left with a law degree and no place to practice. She had already moved to Hattiesburg, signed an apartment lease and set up housekeeping. She had few personal and professional contacts in the area.
