Thanks for helping to save my life

Two years ago this last Wednesday, I suffered a massive heart attack. Living in Waukegan, that meant that the Waukegan Fire Department Rescue Squad was my first contact with help.

I passed out when the guy came in the bedroom. My wife tells me they worked on me for about 35 minutes in the ambulance in our driveway. They said I had no pulse. After they saved my life they took me to Victory ER, where Dr. William Benge took over and kept me alive. He tried a stent to open the blockage but the artery was too large and it was decided to transfer me to Condell Hospital for bypass surgery.
