Cash America International, Inc. (NYSE: CSH) announced that it has entered into a letter of intent to acquire an 80% ownership interest in a 100 store chain of pawnshops in Mexico. The transaction would allow Cash America to acquire what is believed to be the second largest privately owned pawn chain in Mexico through a majority purchase of the parent company which owns and operates the business.
