HARARE, Oct. 13, 2008 (IPS) - Todas las tardes, Barbara Taruvona, propietaria de una peluquería de la capital de Zimbabwe, debe pagar un complemento del sueldo a sus empleados por el aumento diario del costo del transporte.

"Muchas veces me cuesta conseguir dinero en efectivo para que todos puedan ir a su casa y volver al día siguiente. Antes les pagábamos por semana, pero el costo del billete aumenta todos los días", contó Taruvona a IPS.

El aumento del transporte público complica a los empleadores.

Un billete interurbano cuesta unos 60 centavos de dólar en el mercado paralelo. Pero la equivalencia varía todos los días en las casas de cambio.
