IGS TRUSTEE AND BOARD SECRETARY VANESSA BIARD-SCHAEFFER gave a GS lecture on the art of drafting political speeches on June 12th in Paris. In September, she will be attending the annual United Nations NGO conference, which will also be held in Paris, as an IGS representative.

In India, a six-day GS certificate course was held from May 5 to 10 at Mumbai University. Over 50 participants from different academic disciplines, different regions, faiths, languages, and nations took the course. Subjects covered included GS and E-prime, GS vocabulary for primary school students, evaluating mass media, improving arguments without raising one's voice, invoking more balanced parts of one's personality in human interaction, social responsibility in media, self-actualization, evolution of evaluation, overcoming knee-jerk reactions, and more. Additional GS courses in India are currently in the development stage.
