JUNCTION CITY - In a sign of troubled economic times, Country Coach took the unusual step Monday of issuing a news release outlining some of the drastic steps it has taken to remain viable in the face of a brutal industry-wide slump.

The privately held company has cut its work force in half. It has obtained a $6 million infusion of capital from investors, on top of $11 million it borrowed in the form of promissory notes. It has reduced its inventory of RVs at the factory to 10.
