As soon as the final out is recorded next spring in the University of Oregon's first baseball season since 1981, crews are expected to begin tearing down the temporary stands and start building a stadium.

Except for the field, fences and scoreboards, much of what fans will see when Oregon starts its revived baseball season this February will be temporary. The real stadium - the seating, the concourses, the locker rooms, the suites and, perhaps most importantly, the roof - are all part of Phase 2, which is expected to be complete in time for the start of the second season in 2010.
