McGinley. McGinley is an established actor, producer, and screenwriter who is best known for his role as "Dr. Perry Cox" in the NBC comedy "Scrubs." He is also the father of Max, who has Down syndrome.
The article will feature information gained from a recent interview between McGinley and EP magazine where he discussed his initial reactions to learning that Max, now 11, had Down syndrome, his work with the National Down Syndrome Society, and his very strong opinion about the use of derogatory words against the special needs community and in describing those with disabilities.
