This book is an excellent treatment of a topic that, though given lip service, often is overlooked in media education.
The author, currently on the faculty of Baruch College, City University of New York, worked as a reporter for Fortune and other magazines before becoming editor-in-chief of a new disability-focused magazine called WE, which was described as a lifestyle magazine for people with disabilities, their families, and friends. WE published from 1997 to 2002, and in the last years added WEMedia to provide an online presence during the dot.com boom.
