While the number of office building sales has slowed, numerous multimillion-dollar transactions have already closed in San Diego County this year. The top 15 commercial office sales for the first seven months of this year sold for a combined $449.75 million.

The top sale was the $147.8 million purchase of the Paseo Del Mar complex on El Camino Real in Del Mar Heights in late July. The three-building, 232,000-square-foot office complex was sold by Newport Beach-based KBS Realty Advisors to Seattle-based Metzler North America Corp. on behalf of Union Investment Real Estate AG, a German real estate fund.

Lynn LaChapelle and Bob Prendergast, brokers with real estate and investment services firm Jones Lang LaSalle's Capital Markets Group in San Diego, represented KBS in the transaction. LaChapelle was also a broker on the deal just 20 months prior when KBS Realty Advisors purchased the complex for $120 million from Crescent Real Estate Equities Co. of Texas and JMI...
