Matthew and Sarah Taylor were content in their St. Paul Victorian home - until they toured a modern house and a cabin designed and built by their neighbor, Ben Awes, an architect with Minneapolis-based CityDeskStudio. "I loved the details and the materials he used," said Matthew, a graphic designer and modernist at heart. "It confirmed that was the kind of house I'd like to live in."
