On both sides of the ball, it was a scramble.

Oregon down to two first-year quarterbacks after yet another injury at the position. Washington trying to ride a valiant effort from Jake Locker to an improbable upset.

Only one was able to scramble its way to victory Saturday. That was the No. 21 Ducks, scoring 30 unanswered points after halftime to win 44-10 before a crowd of 58,778, the most ever for Autzen Stadium on an opening night.

By dominating the Huskies in the second half, the Ducks extended their dominance in the series between the two. In what once might have seemed unthinkable, Oregon won its fifth straight over Washington. That's the longest UO win streak in the history of the rivalry, and it's beginning to happen...
