Dorothy Adamson

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 2, at Fisher Funeral Home in Albany for former Eugene resident Dorothy Grace Adamson of Albany, who died July 25 of age-related causes. She was 89.

She was born Jan. 9, 1919, in Roseburg to Lou and Bessie Miller Lady. She married Clarey Russell Adamson on Oct. 5, 1940, in Roseburg. He died Aug. 25, 1998.

Survivors include a son, Scott Adamson, of Scottsdale, Ariz., and one grandchild.

Remembrances to Samaritan Evergreen Hospice in Albany.

Thomas Campbell

Thomas Campbell of Eugene died July 15 of cancer at age 87. A private service was held.

He was born April 6, 1921, in Eugene to Patrick and Mabel Carpenter Campbell. He married Jerry V. Shultz on Nov. 26, 1947, in Eugene. She died August 27, 1973.

He was a private first class in the U.S. Army during World War II, stationed in Europe....
